Bio

Rachel June

Rachel June took interest in art at a young age. Growing up in New Orleans, she attended Southeastern Louisiana University where she earned a B.A. in visual arts with a concentration in photography and sculpture.

Rachel creates a unique style by using the exposure and experiences of diverse cultures from travel  and adds a special twist from the influential melting pot of New Orleans. Rachel’s art is created with multiple mediums including photography, painting, performance art, 3D assemblages and more. Most prolific are her photo-studys of herself in ever changing environments. These photo’s are often manipulated, painted and assembled to create an ever developing chronological body of art.

Rachel has worked as a photojournalist, portrait artist and documentarian in the south Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Georgia. She used her talents and transcended  into the film and television business as an accomplished Set Decorator working with notable directors and producers, such as, Deon Taylor on “Black and Blue” and Anton Fuqua for “#FreeRayshawn”.

You can find her artwork in moving pictures such as Nola Circus, Swing, Black and Blue, #FreeRayshawn and more.
Rachel continues to push the artistic envelope in all areas of work and life.
